Dynamic Yet Gentle Movement

Ashtanga yoga is commonly known as a physical yoga practice. It can be that, but it can also be flowing and attentive to the body and its energies. My approach to teaching ashtanga yoga is gentle and accepting.

In ashtanga yoga, the asanas are performed in a specific sequence, guided by the breath, making it a safe and focused practice. Not having to think about which asana to do next makes the practice truly meditative.

At its best, your ashtanga yoga practice becomes a safe haven, a place where it is wonderful to return and where it is easy to get to know yourself. The goal is for the asanas to form a suitable whole for you, your own practice, which you can take with you wherever you go.
