Comprehensive Body Strengthening

Hatha yoga is dynamic, comprehensive yoga that strengthens the entire body. The body receives a variety of movements, enhancing both flexibility and strength almost effortlessly. I often structure hatha yoga classes around a specific theme, making them suitable for both beginners and more experienced practitioners. In hatha yoga, the asanas are held more statically and performed more slowly than in ashtanga yoga, for example.

Hatha yoga classes begin with warming up the body, continue through sun salutations and standing poses to seated poses, and conclude with final relaxation. The primary goal of hatha yoga is good body control. The flow of hatha yoga is engaging and purifies the body, mind, and soul.
